This Privacy Policy explains how GridSmash - Block Puzzle Game (developed by Indie Core Dev) handles your information when you use our game. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe experience for all users.

2. Personal Information

We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, location, or device-specific data.

3. Ad Configuration

To ensure the quality of our advertising experience and to comply with ad network policies, our game may check your device's public IP address when the app starts. This check is used solely to determine whether to display test advertisements or standard advertisements. It helps us prevent accidental invalid ad activity that could arise from our own testing networks.

This IP check is only performed for users located in Morocco, France, and Google Firebase Test Lab environments, as determined by Firebase Remote Config country-based conditions. If you are outside these regions, your IP address is never retrieved and you are served standard ads immediately.

How this works:

  • When the app opens, Firebase Remote Config determines whether the IP check is enabled based on your country.
  • If you are in Morocco, France, or a Firebase Test Lab environment, the app sends a single request to an external service (ipify.org) to retrieve your device's public IP address.
  • This IP address is compared against a short list of our own internal testing networks.
  • If your IP matches one of our testing networks, the app shows test ads instead of real ads. If it does not match, you see standard ads as normal.
  • Your IP address is not stored, logged, or transmitted to any server we own. It is used only for this one-time comparison within the app and is discarded immediately after.
  • No personal data is derived from this check. We do not use your IP address for tracking, profiling, location targeting, or any other purpose.

4. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our game. This data helps us improve gameplay and fix bugs. Firebase may collect anonymized usage data such as session length, crash events, and interaction patterns.

5. Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor, log, and analyze crash reports. This helps us maintain app stability and improve performance. Data collected is anonymized and does not contain personal identifiers.

6. Third-Party Services & Ads

Our game displays advertisements using the following ad provider:

As described in Section 3, we use ipify.org to retrieve your public IP address for ad configuration purposes only. ipify.org has its own privacy policy which you can review at ipify.org.

7. Google Play Games Services

GridSmash integrates with Google Play Games Services for leaderboards. When you sign in with Google Play Games, your public gaming profile (display name, profile picture) may be visible to other players on the leaderboard. This data is managed by Google.

8. User Accounts

GridSmash does not require account creation or login. Google Play Games sign-in is optional and managed entirely by Google.

9. In-App Purchases

Our game does not offer in-app purchases (IAPs).

10. Children's Privacy

Our game is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users in this age group. If you believe we have unknowingly collected personal information from a child, please contact us at [email protected].

11. Offline Use

You can enjoy GridSmash offline without any data collection or internet connection. Ads, leaderboard features, and the ad configuration check described in Section 3 require an internet connection. When offline, standard ads are used by default.

12. Data Sharing

We do not share or sell your data with any third parties. The IP address check described in Section 3 is performed entirely within the app and is not sent to any server we own or operate. Any data collected by third-party services (like AdMob, Firebase, or Google Play Games) is governed by their respective privacy policies.

13. Data Storage & Retention

We do not store any user data on our own servers. The IP address retrieved during the ad configuration check is held in the app's temporary memory only for the duration of that single session and is never saved to permanent storage.

14. Your Rights

Since we do not store user data, requests for data access or deletion are not applicable. However, if you have any concerns about how your information is handled, you may still contact us.

15. Changes to This Policy
